James O’Keefe, founder of the undercover journalism organization Project Veritas, has released part one of a series that focuses on how Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Mark Kelly of Arizona is attempting to shield his anti-gun stance until after he wins election.
During his investigation, one of O’Keefe’s undercover journalists spoke to Angelica Carpio, a field organizer for the group Mission for Arizona, which the documentarian describes as “basically Arizona’s Democratic Party and an extension of the Mark Kelly campaign.”
BREAKING PART 1: @CaptMarkKelly deceives AZ voters on true gun agenda
“I don’t think he’s fully been out there saying like 'I want a full gun control type measure"
“Trying to be elected…then he’ll implement the (gun)measures”

“[Kelly] just wants to get elected first. … Arizona is a very Republican state in general, like a red state. And I know, actually, right now it’s purple technically, but I think he just wants to get those independents. He wants to get those Republicans that don’t trust Trump anymore, and one of their main issues is guns,” Carpio tells the undercover journalist.
From there, she suggested that’s why Kelly hasn’t talked much about gun control, saying, “I think it’s because he just wants to get elected first and then he wants to go further.”
She goes on to mention that other “staffers” really want Kelly to come clean about his gun control stance now, but he won’t, she says, because “he’s trying to be elected, and then he’ll implement the measures.”
Earlier this year, Breitbart News reported that Kelly, a former astronaut whose wife, then-U.S. Rep. Gabby Giffords, was nearly assassinated in January 2011 during an event in Tucson, has never been honest and open about his gun control stances.
“For example, his stops did not include a mention of his support for universal background checks, even though such checks would impact Arizonans greatly by criminalizing gun sales that occur apart from seeking government permission via a background check,” Breitbart reported.
“Such checks already apply to retail sales, but Kelly wants to expand them to private sales, too. This means that a neighbor could not legally sell a gun to a lifelong neighbor unless first getting government permission via a background check; it means one coworker could not sell a five-shot .38 revolver to another coworker, even if they have known each other for decades without first getting government permission via a background check,” Breitbart continued.
Kelly and Giffords have spent years telling Americans that if only we had ‘universal background checks’ for all gun purchases, the country would be so much safer. But they can’t even be honest about that; the man who tried to kill Giffords — Jared Loughner — acquired his firearm following a federal background check. (Related: For Mark Kelly, attending forum hosted by CCP was the beginning of lucrative relationship with China.)
In July, the news outlet also reported that Kelly — who is currently polling ahead of incumbent Sen. Martha McSally, a Republican and former fighter pilot, was not mentioning his desire to expand gun seizures during campaign stops. But his website notes that such seizures would occur by “allowing families and law enforcement to ensure dangerous individuals and people in crisis don’t have access to firearms.”
Nowhere in the Second Amendment or the broader Constitution is there a provision — a caveat, really — permitting governments to seize guns from people under any circumstances. The amendment doesn’t say “shall not be infringed unless the gun owner has a mental problem.”
In addition, Kelly’s campaign says he’ll “stand up to the gun lobby,” which is left-wing Democrat code to supporters, “I will do everything in my power to make sure I take away or limit access to as many guns as I possibly can.”
Those’ll be fighting words in Arizona; “Guns and Ammo” magazine rated it the most gun-friendly state in the country, hands-down, in 2019.
Face it: Democrats simply can’t be honest about anything they want to do, because their entire agenda is anti-American leftism, period.
Meanwhile, President Trump tells us what he is going to do…and then does it.
